WOLVESFC.CO.UK UNDERSTANDS that Alex Rae has signed a contract with Scottish giants Rangers for next season.

Rangers have been interested in Rae for some time, but sources from inside the club claim that Alex Rae will be joining Rangers next season.

The rules state that a player is unable to sign a pre-contract with another club in the same country he is registered in, however as Rae is registered in England it would mean he would be able to sign for Rangers now - which we believe he has done.

Alex Rae was expected to be in the starting eleven against Middlesbrough on Saturday, but Wolves Manager Dave Jones started with Scottish International Colin Cameron - who still has a year on his Wolves contract left.

Rae has made it clear that he would find it difficult to turn-down an offer from the club he supports and many Wolves fans would not begrudge him the opportunity to finish off his career at Ibrox.
