WOLVES CAME so close to winning away from home for the first time in the Premiership, but a last minute Shaun Wright-Phillips goal earned Manchester City a point. Here is what the Managers thought.

"I can't fault the players for effort but after that result I feel very low"

"I keep telling my players that if the ball is 60 or 70 yards away from our goal, the other side can't score unless they wheel out a cannon," Said Jones.

"We are still trying to pass our way out of trouble and it is a lesson we don't appear to learn. I can't fault the players for effort but after that result I feel very low."

Wolves have been written off by the pundits left right and centre, but Jones refuses to give up.

"We were written off before Christmas but we are still in there fighting. While there is a chance we will keep hoping. We have to rely on other teams to help us but we will keep battling and scrapping and trying to play football. The problem is, in the 93rd minute of a game like that, playing football is the last thing we should be thinking about."

Man City Assistant Arthur Cox

"Most of our players are used to being up at the top end of the table and playing in the Champions League. At the moment, we are at the opposite end of the spectrum.

"I genuinely believe our players have the ability to play the way we need them to do now but for the first time I noticed a certain nervousness in the dressing room about the position we are in."
