WOLVES STRIKER Vio Ganea has blasted Scotland Manager Berti Vogts for sending his players out looking for war in the game which saw Celtic's John Kennedy put out of the game for a year.

Vio Ganea was involved in a late tackle with Celtic's John Kennedy who suffered serious knee injuries following the challenge by the Romanian International.

However, Vio Ganea has defended his corner and believes that Berti Vogts sent the Scotland team out to play as if they were in a Champions League final instead of a friendly international.

"The Scotland boss had the players believing this was like the Champions League final. He should not have done that for a friendly match. Some of what went on before the incident with Kennedy was not right either." Said Ganea

'The Scotland players were making some terrible tackles because of what their manager had told them. Then the fact Kennedy has so little experience in games like this meant he went in to tackle me when he didn't need to, as the whistle had already gone."

Ganea has been slated by Berti Vogts and the media, but Ganea insists he had no intention of hurting Kennedy. "I never meant to hurt him. I have heard he is out of football for a year and that is terrible. But I don't believe this is my fault." Said the popular Wolves striker.

Reports also suggested that Ganea had offered to pay for the operation Kennedy will need, but Ganea has slammed the claims as rubbish. "'I did not say I would pay for his operation. This is an insult to me, Celtic and their player. It's ridiculous. This is professional football. These things happen and that is why we are all insured when we play."
