FEBRUARY ENDED on a high for Wolves. A point at Leicester City moved Wolves temporarily out of the relegation zone, but March has sadly been a different story.

Those are the facts for March - a month which could condemn Wolves to Football League status next season.

The month started in the worst possible way. A home derby against Aston Villa on the 14th had seen this website predict a home win in the Sunday's Sunday Mercury. How wrong we were.

Wolves trailed 3-0 at the break in a game which was similar to our early season blues. It was a matter of 'how many' from the off and a 4-0 away win tended to flatter Wolves.

The following two games consisted in two much improved Wolves performances, but the rewards were not evident.

A last minute Sami Hyypia header earned Liverpool all three points at Anfield. Leicester, Portsmouth and Leeds all took points from that weekend leaving Wolves rock-bottom of the Premiership.

Then, yesterday saw Wolves lose 5-2 away at Stamford Bridge. Wolves were leading until 70 minutes, but four quick-fire Chelsea goals killed Wolves off.

Next month see's home games against Southampton, Bolton and Middlesbrough and away games against Manchester City and Birmingham. All but three of our final games of this season are played in this next month.

Played 3, lost 3, conceded 10, scored 2.

Those are the remaining stats for March. One thing for April however is the fact that things can't get much worse.
