WOLVES LEGEND Steve Bull
insists that points are more important than performances as Wolves head
into the final eleven games of the Barclaycard Premiership Season.
Despite
winning a point away from home on Saturday, Wolves still find themselves
in the bottom three. The point won at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday
was enough to move Wolves out of the red for a few hours, but
Portsmouth's point against Newcastle pushed Wolves back in to the drop
zone.
Wolves
sit on 24 points with a remaining eleven games to go, but Steve Bull
believes that it's the points which matter now, not the performances.
"We
are reaching the stage of the season when it is points and not
performances which matter and Wolves fans will not be moaning if we play
poorly for the remainder of the season and finish outside the dreaded
bottom three." Said Bull.
There
are just 5 points between bottom club Leeds United and 16th place
Manchester City whilst Wolves and Portsmouth occupy 18th and 17th
respectively, whilst both on 24 points.
"We
are still in the bottom three, but only on goal difference and everybody
must now gear themselves up for an 11-game sprint to the line. There
will be plenty of twists and turns along the way and I still maintain
that it will come down to the final game of the season." added
Bull.
