It wasn`t the fairytale we all hoped for. Arsenal ensured they made it 24 games without defeat but Wolves can hold their head up high and look forward to Tuesdays game against Leeds United.

 A win would have been stunning, a draw would have been fantastic and a defeat would have been expected. However, on this performance, Wolves can hold their heads up high and move the focus on to Tuesdays game against Leeds United.

 Arsenal were expected to run riot in this game and after Denis Bergkamp had given Arsenal the lead after just 9 minutes, a riot was looking as the only likely outcome.

 However, Wolves were stubborn and gave Arsenal no time on the ball. Denis Irwin hit a free-kick just wide with Lehmann rooted to the spot before Vio Ganea, who was partnered in attack with Carl Cort equalized.

 A Cameron corner was headed at the back post by Cradock and the ball found the boot of the Romanian who lashed the ball into the top left hand corner.

 The game then was pretty even and Wolves matched the championship contenders in every department, however Ganea and Cort could have given Wolves a half-time lead but first Cort and then Ganea found the ball stuck under their feet.

 Wolves started the second half the brightest and Ganea appeared to be tripped by Toure in the box. The Referee waved play-on, but had Henry been the victim of the trip, the Referee would, you`d have thought, pointed to the spot.

 Arsenal then turned up the style and Henry gave Arsenal the lead after 60 minutes. A superb Robert Pires through-ball found Henry with a one-on-one with the Keeper and the superstar placed the ball under Jones in the Wolves goal to the relief of all in the red of Arsenal.

 Five minutes later and Arsenal put the game out of reach. An Henry corner found Toure who headed past Jones from close range to ensure Arsenal would continue their impressive unbeaten run.

 Wolves tried hard and for 60 minutes matched Arsenal. There are plenty positives to be taken out of the game but its now time to look forward to the game on Tuesday against Leeds United.
