Aston Villa are believed to be chasing Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey, but after the appointment of Rick Hayward, a move across the Midlands may not be out of the question.

Sir Jack Hayward announced to a packed Molineux Press-Conference on Friday that he was to step down as Chairman of Wolves, handing the hot-seat to his son, Rick Hayward.

The news that Rick Hayward was to take over came as a bit of an anti-climax to the Wolves faithful as many believed the Press Conference was to announce the new owners of the club, but, when they heard that the new Wolves Chairman knew little about football, they were less than impressed.

This is something which Moxey may take into account. The majority of us know what it`s like to work under a new boss, but when the new boss knows little about the product the company is trying to produce, the working environment becomes a little uneasy.

It is believed that Midland Rivals Aston Villa have attempted to lure Moxey to Villa Park and, with the situation at Aston Villa, on and off the pitch not proving too successful or rosy, it may be an opportunity to good to miss.
