 The Premier League gave said "NO!" to Wolves request to sign a Goalkeeper outside the Transfer Window.

 As Wolvesfc.co.uk reported earlier, Manager Dave Jones was hoping to sign a goalkeeper ahead of tomorrows crunch Premier League game with Middlesbrough.

 With Matt Murray injured, Jones was hoping to sign a goalkeeper on loan, but as the transfer window is closed, Wolves would need special dispensation from the Premier League.

 Wolves were hopeful of a positive response to their request, but the Premier League have turned down the request leaving Wolves in the lurch.

 "The Premier League won`t give us special permission to bring in another Keeper" said Manager Dave Jones.

 "If we`d got three keepers and two were injured then we`d be ok but as we only have one injury then even though we`ve only got the two keepers to start off with, because of the problems in the Summer, we were deemed as being out of the criteria".

 This means that Jones now has only two options. He can sign a goalkeeper who is not attached to a club or put a youngster on the bench.
