 On the eve of Wolves First Premiership Game against Blackburn Rovers, Chairman Sir Jack Hayward has declared that should Wolves be struggling come the opening of the Transfer Window, he will dig into his pockets to ensure our survival.

 Sir Jack Hayward has plunged an estimated £50m of his own money into Wolves in trying to get  the club he loves to the Premier League - In May he witnessed his gold and black troops overcome the fear of a packed Millennium Stadium as wolves ran riot over a Sheffield United team, winning the game 3-0.

 That ended Wolves absence of 19 years, 13 days, 22 hours and 20 minutes from the top flight and dropping back into that division from `hell` is not something Sir Jack has on his mind.

 Sir Jack told Soccernet.com `If needs be I will strengthen in January but I would hope that come that time we will be in a nice position.

`Primarily we have to concentrate on staying in the Premiership. It was hell getting out of Division One and I don't want to do it again.

`I said to Dave and Jez Moxey (chief executive) that if we didn't make it last season I would give the club away to the fans and they knew I meant it.

`I wanted to be going to the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal and I have got my wish.'
