 Green who`s spectacular mistake at the weekend brought smiles to the faces of Wolves fans as they crashed 2-1 to relegation threatened Derby County and Mackay started to play mind games with Wolves.

 It was Norwich who beat Wolves in the Play-Off semi-finals last year after the famous collapse from Wolves, and although Norwich lost in the Play-Offs they are back kicking the heels of Wolves.

 Green and Mackay were talking about the Wolves collapse last season and both players believe Wolves will fail again at the hands of Norwich.

 However Manager Dave Jones told EDP24 "“There seems to be an awful lot of talking from them – but let them keep talking and carry on playing mind games. We're only two points behind Nottingham Forest and everyone has got to play each other.”

 Paul Ince also got into the act saying "I had seen the little quotes from some of the Ipswich players and Sheffield United players saying we might fold under pressure again. But we won't this time, we've got enough experienced players here and the likes of me and Denis (Irwin) don't do that. But this is the most important time of the season now, seven games to go and I know it's probably around the same time of year we went on a slide last season. But you can't look backwards and I feel we're peaking at the right time.

“I know people will start getting jittery and apprehensive but you've got to get those negative thoughts out of your mind – and as captain of the team I won't let negative thoughts get into the players' heads.

“If you look throughout the season, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride but we're still in sixth position.

“Early season we went through a spell when we lost seven out of eight games, so that's 21 points which would put us first in the league today.

“We've got to make sure that over the course of the next two or three games we stabilise ourselves in the play-off zone, make sure we get there first, and then we all know what it's like in the semi-final or the final of the play-offs – anything can happen.”

Norwich were expected to beat Derby County on Saturday to keep the pressure firmly on Wolves, but a huge mistake from mouthy Green, which is worth watching may indicate its Norwich who will fall away as Wolves moved a point closer to 5th place.
