Wolves travel to Shrewsbury today seeking to make it through another round of this season's FA Cup ater dumping Liverpool out in the last round.
Today they face a team managed by the former Wolves captan Sam Ricketts, who is so far having a succesful time in his first managerial post. Town will however be without former Wolves favourite midfielder Dave Edwards as he is suffering with a groin strain. Whilst stating that Wolves face a difficult game today, Nuno Espirito Santo is likely to make several changes for the game, with one eye on the Premier League match with West Ham to come on Tuesday. John Ruddy, Morgan Giibs-White and Adama Traore are all expected to start, whilst Willy Boly will serve the second of his three match suspension.

Nice interview with Graeme Turner on football focus earlier. Famous last words, he stated he couldn’t see an upset. Bloody hope not!

It would be nice to progress and we should have enough to get past Shrewsbury. I am sure that Nuno will expect each player to give 100% regardless of the team he chooses to select and I expect that our style of play will be what we have become accustomed to.

Away we go. Wolves playing in White today. Our referee is Roger East who failed to impress in our recent home game against Crystal Palace.

Dull stuff and Shrewsbury getting the best of it although thankfully with LG 1 quality
The long balls from Coady and Neves are not quite accurate enough yet
More promising break by Traore to Giles then MGW but he put it high over the bar
Some good play by Town earns them a corner, but they then commit a foul in the box
Great play by Doc to get the ball in to Traore in the area, but he smashed it high & over
Shot by Costa from the edge of area straight into goalies arms. He's having a poor game so far
Yes Cheshire, nice move but Helder is not at his best today. We are giving them much too much respect. Half hour gone; maybe we are warmed up now?

Hi Ivy Yes I'm watching it & Town have just scored a very good goal with a shot straight through Ruddy!! Neves slipped and gave the ball away and they broke straight through the middle, passed to right and he took one touch and smashed it past Ruddy.
In the first half it was as though Town's poor play was rubbing off on Wolves, but our front line were also very ineffective. I think Costa will be replaced at some point.

BBC reporting Jimenez coming on and also that save from Costa was excellent
Good play down left wing by Giles sets up Raul but he puts it well wide. Playing better this half, but they have to as they are losing!!

It was Watefsll not Sadler who scored. Trouble brewing between the fans after something was thrown at the Wolves fans
Traore is working hard down the right wing this half and putting in some good crosses
Shrewsbury are logically defending in numbers & Wolves finding it hard to find a way through them

That's it Wolves manage to earn a draw in added time! A hard game for our team which belied their league positions. After being 2-0 behind they did Weill to score twice. Traore had a good second half down the right wing, but Costa generally had a poor game and Cavaleiro was generally disappointing after setting up our first goal.

That was a Cup Tie. Had to stop looking here as the feed was minutes late. Wow
Very disappointing that we struggled like that but if there is a bright side, apart from still being in the hat, it is another late goal. I don't know how many that is this season but the spirit can't be faulted,
History repeating itself from 1979? Draw ......... followed by a win (to us)? Fingers crossed. Sounded like a terrific finish and you can’t fault our side for keeping going even if the overall performance wasn’t quite as polished. I am so happy we’re still in it!

Yes. I am in Stafford for my granddaughter ‘s birthday on 4th and the replay is on the 5th. Surely a replay against Shrewsbury won’t be a sellout?

It illustrates how even a couple of changes for so called lesser opposition matches can result in disaster. Everton went out to Millwall , West Ham to Wimbledon etc etc. We need to go full strength for every single cup game and leave fringe players to play in under 23 games without risking our only realistic chance of silverware or a final appearance.
