Match Thread V QPR (H, 31/12/2016)

1968 Programme

December 31 2016

QPR visit Molineux today to try an end a six game losing run which includes a 2-1 loss to Wolves on December 1st. Wolves have won back to back games for the first time this season and making it three in a row will boost moral and help push us further away from the drop zone. However we have a nack of helping clubs end bad runs, lets hope today is not another one.

MATCH FACTS

QPR have won on their last two league trips to Molineux - but Wolves have never lost three consecutive home games against the Hoops.

Prior to their last two trips to Molineux, QPR had won just twice there in 15 previous attempts.

Wolves have won back-to-back Championship games, their best run since winning four on the spin under Kenny Jackett in January 2016.

QPR have lost six consecutive league games for the first time since February 1996, when they lost seven in a row under Ray Wilkins.

There has never been a 0-0 draw at Molineux between these two sides.

How boring. Wolves are playing to interrupt our thoughts and comments about the Wolf head.

UTW - hope we get a win to extend the gap off the bottom or will Sky pundit / guru Mr Holloway thwart us?

Fans are already telling Holloway he's getting sacked in the morning so he applauds them, to which they reply W*nker!!

Interesting that on the OS Bright Enobakhare is described as a midfielder - I thought he was a striker!

Bright and Costa link up well, shot from Costa goes wide.
Jordan Graham is co-commentator today, with the coach of our Under 18's

Today's referee is Lee Probert who I always thought was a good PL Ref. I think he was ill, and has dropped down the pecking order.

Dicko into the penalty area takes a shot which is blocked. Really hope he can end his long wait for a goal today

Doing well so far. Come on Dicko end that drought.

Cheshire wolf

Bright & Dicko link up well leading to Smithies blocking a Dicko shot with his feet. Best chance of the game so far

Wolves are the better team and getting the best chances to score, but finding it harder against an eleven man QPR than it was against ten of them!!

3 minutes to be added on to 1st half for some reason. Holloway's team doing all they can to slow the game down

Sitting this one out today. Lovely mixed grill at the Broome Hall Hotel, not cheap but won't be bettered.

Sounds as if we are dominating the game, but as usual we make heavy weather of turning this into a commanding lead.

QPR Score from inside box. Price seems reluctant to tackle because he's already been booked. Their first real shot all game & they will probably try & slow game down even more now

It's all about clearing out the deadwood and giving Lambert the rest of the season to build for next season angry...

Would be wise to use this time to build a squad for next season...

Ivybridge Wolf

For gods sake - QPR, like many before them, come to Molineux off the back of 6 straight defeats and guess what - they're winning!

We're a superbly average side
