The Country has now seen Wolves at their best. Wolves were superb against Newcastle but will the fans get the same effort at not-so-exciting Walsall?
It is no secret that Wolves, in recent weeks have been a shambles. Before yesterdays FA Cup clash with Newcastle Wolves had Won only taken Two points out of a possible fifteen - This non-promotion form left Wolves into 10th Position with fans seething.
The previous week, Chairman Sir Jack Hayward made a "time-bomb" attack on Manager Dave Jones. Hayward said that Dave Jones` job as Manager was under review game by game, day by day as promises the Ex-Southampton Manager had made had not come off.
This 10th in the league team, who were in form of "pathetic" circumstances took to the field against a full strength Newcastle team which included the likes of Alan Shearer and Craig Bellamy.
Its no secret, should you look at the back page of any Britain Newspaper today that Wolves outplayed and outclassed Newcastle United at times, scoring 3 very good goals and having to fight against a Referee who was determined on giving Newcastle the keys to the door through to the next round after awarding a very dubious penalty and ruling a goal from Kenny Miller out when it appeared nothing was wrong with the original challenge.
So, if Wolves can match Newcastle United, play breath taking football and prove themselves against some of the best in the World, then next weekends game against small Walsall is surly a formality, but we all know that nothing is simple with the Wolves.
