After Sir Jack Haywards "time-bomb" attack on the Wolves Manager, the Scouse Boss will not be happy with comments made by Jez Moxey on a local Radio Station.

Wolves Chief Jez Moxey has failed to confirm that Dave Jones`s job as Wolves Manager is safe. Moxey was speaking in an interview on local BBC Radio WM but this comes after star Wolves` players backed the Manager.

 Wolves Defender Denis Irwin told the E&S "We're fully behind Dave Jones, It's unfair - he's taken a lot of stick because of the players' form. We haven't been consistent enough and it's up to all of us to turn it round.

 And Paul Butler added "We're 100 per cent behind him. The players have got to start growing up. It's a shame what he's going through, but there's 20 games to go and we're only four points off the play-offs."

 But although the Players appear to back Jones, he will not be encouraged by Jez Moxeys comments on Radio WM. The Chief Executive failed to confirm that his job was safe and also failed to confirm that his job will be safe should Wolves lose to Walsall next week.

 In the Interview Jez Moxey says "Dave Jones has a job to do and he is in the second year of a plan we set 18 months ago,"

 

"We nearly made it last year and I accept that was not good enough. We're behind our target. It's up to him (Jones) and his coaches to turn it around. What I'm trying to avoid is the traditional vote of confidence. We have the team and ability to get up the table.

"Managers live and die by results and when you have assembled the team we have then fans are entitled to expect better results.

"We set ourselves a target of two points a game and history says that's automatic promotion. I'm not writing that off but we are a long way off."

 Dave Jones is in charge for his 100th Game tomorrow as Wolves face Newcastle United.
