Reserves Beat Preston

Wolves Reserves disposed of Preston North End at Deepdale in what was a hard fought victory. The only goal - a stunner - came from Wolves up and coming youngster Sammy Clingan. Wolves fielded a young side which included 6 Youth Team players whilst Preston started with 7 First Team players in the squad.

Preston had the majority of the early play but it was Wolves who hit back as Mark McChrystal hit the bar from 6yrds out.

Once again Preston enjoyed the play but on 25 Minutes Wolves took the lead. Young Sammy Clingan latched on to a poor attempted clearance and smashed the ball home off the inside of the post from 30 yrds.

The home side dominated affairs in the Second Half but the hard work came off as Wolves recorded a well deserved victory against a tough Preston team.
