Wolves took to the road to visit the new Walkers Stadium, the performance was much better than losses in recent weeks, but the result is not good enough. Dave Jones decided to stick with the same team which thrashed Preston mid-week with Murray, Irwin, Naylor, Butler(c), Lescott, Rae, Ince, Cooper, Newton Sturridge and Blake all keeping their places.

Wolves sold their allocation of over 3,000 tickets and were housed in the corner of the stadium.

Wolves kept an impressive clean sheet against Preston but it took just 5 minutes for the Foxes to get the goal. Paul Dikov backed into Lee Naylor, tumbled over and the awful Mike Riley pointed to the spot which Dikov nicely slipped home.

Nathan Blake had efforts on goal as Wolves came back into the game. Wolves could get no closer to the net than Newtons 11th Minute strike against Walker as the game was played in midfield, Naylor cleared one cross preventing Dikov from scoring his second has Riley blew up for Half Time.

The Half Time interval was greeted with nasty looking scenes in the Wolves Concourse area as fans battled with Police after bottles were thrown.

The Second half started with Wolves on top, but no clear chances came. Muzzy Izzet was to receive his marching orders after 67` minutes for a nasty challenge on Alex Rae.

Walker then made a mess of a back-pass resulting in him having to smother the ball 6 yrds out, awarding Wolves a free-kick 6 yrds directly in front of the goal which smashed the wall.

The game then went quiet with Mike Riley dishing yet more yellow cards, a Ref`s performance which again spoilt a good game of football.

The final whistle blew giving Leicester all Three points and putting Wolves back in the dumps with their 4th defeat in 5 games.
