Sturridge Blasts Derby

Dean Sturridge has gone on record to blast his former club, Derby County. He told a sports website that Wolves were a much bigger club than Derby and have much more ambition. Sturridge, who gained promotion with Derby County in 1996 claims they got lucky. Talking to Planet Football the Wolves` ace said "This club is much bigger than Derby"

"The expectation there when Jim Smith came into the club was not very big and we just got lucky"

The Former Rams and Leicester Striker continued "Wolves have been trying to get into the top flight for many years and a lot of money has been spent. You can tell by the Fans reactions that they expect to win every game. We have the players to do it and we need to keep pushing ourselves"
