After 2 credible draws against Swansea and Sheffield Wednesday, Blackpool will be in high spirits going into a tough test against league leaders Wolves at Bloomfield Road. Tony Parkes and Steve Thompson have steadied the ship momentarily since Grayson's departure, but face their toughest test so far in front of the cameras.

Blackpool look set to welcome Lee Hendrie back into the side after his 3 game suspension, which will add some strength to the midfield, with the former England man set to replace David Fox, despite and encouraging performance at Hillsborough on Boxing Day. However, it may well be his last appearance in a Pool shirt, as his loan expires on the 1st of January, and it remains to be seen as to whether or not he stays. Also making what could be his last Pool appearance is Alan Gow, who has stated he wants to return to Rangers, and the in form striker would be missed by the Pool if they fail to capture his signature.

League leaders Wolves are looking to complete the double over the Seasiders, which would make them the first team to do so this season. They are likelyto start with the most dangerous striker partnership in the division, with Chris Iwelumo, who scored twice against Pool in the reverse fixture, and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, the former Manchester United striker, leading the line.

 Danger Man: Michael Kightly-Dubbed the best player outside the Premier League, the man plucked from non-league obscurity is now one of the brightest prospects in the country. He is destined for Premier League football, and if Wolves don't supply it, don't bus suprised if he looks elsewhere.

Prediction: Blackpool 1-2 Wolves

I bet Mick McCarthy isn't looking forward to coming down to Bloomfield Rd. They've got a healthy lead at the top of the table. We are managerless and confidence might be low. So on paper it has 3 points written all over it for Mick's mighty Wolves. Just how we Seasiders like it, the underdogs. I've just finished my banana, where can I put the skin?
