The hallowed turf at Bloomfield Road will once again start it's season with a load of fat egg chasers running all over it. The National Rail Cup final will once again be hosted at Bloomfield Road and will be played on Sunday 6th July in front of a sell out crowd. In other news we reveal yet another potential transfer target!

 

Meanwhile talks with Seasiders midfielder Claus Jorgenson and striker sensation Andy Morrell will continue next week after the Bank Holiday weekend. Both have been offered new deals but told they will only be retained as squad players. Negotiations are set to continue but for both the club and the players its important that a deal can be worked out as soon as possible.

Finally rumours are starting to emerge that Simon Grayson could be about to swoop for a former transfer target. James O'Connor has just been released by Burnley after failing to agree terns on a new deal. The 28 year old, midfielder was linked last summer but nothing came of the speculation. But now available on a free, Grayson may yet make another move for the player! Especially if a deal for Jorgenson can't be arranged.

I was just thinking about whether we should go for O'Connor when I get home at lunch time, and it said he had left Dingles.

It said he turned down a contract, meaning that Burnley wanted to keep him, so I reckon he could be worth it.

Fresh legs in midfield
