Its been a long time since Glenn Hoddle has looked at team selection knowing he has a full squad from which to choose. But now at last there are enough signs to indicate, that may not be the case for much longer.

The former England boss has never been a man to hide when the going gets tough, and where others may look for excuses, Hoddle has rarely blamed the loss of several key individuals for his sides stuttering form.

Inspirational Captain Paul Ince hasnt featured in Hoddle's plans since the first month of this campaign, and the pairing of Kenny Miller and Carl Cort havent been together since mid October against Derby County.

So it will come as a welcome lift to the fans to hear there is every chance all three could be back if not before, then certainly during the festive break.

"I would hope, if everything goes well, that we might have Kenny, Carl and Paul back soon, certainly for Christmas period, Kenny probably a little bit before," said Hoddle.

"Kenny might resume training with the full group this week But with a hamstring you don't know until you go out there and perform.

"You can train him up to a point and test him up to a point, but don't know until you go out there in a full- blooded game.

"Kenny is ahead of 'Corty' in the pecking order for coming back.

"Corty has got a few more weeks to go and so has Incey."

With Wolves having drawn a blank in the last three hours of Molineux football, and at times looking toothless in the middle of the park, the prospect of their first choice strike pair on the teamsheet   and the return of Ince in the midfield is sure to bring a smile to the faces of every Wolves fan in the land
