Wolves Great Hughes Dies

LIVERPOOL and Wolves great Emlyn Hughes has sadly passed away at the age of 57 after suffering with a brain tumour.

LIVERPOOL and Wolves great Emlyn Hughes has sadly passed away at the age of 57 after suffering with a brain tumour.

Hughes had been battling the brain tumour for 15 months, but he sadly deteriorated over the last few days.

Hughes signed for Wolves from Liverpool for £90,000 in 1979 and lifted the League Cup whilst at Molineux.

Hughes was handed an OBE in 1980 for his services to the game.
