WOLVES Captain Paul Ince
looks set to stay on and help Wolves in their bid to return back to the top
flight next season, but the Ex-England Captain would like to see his pal and
Leicester City striker Les Ferdinand in a Wolves shirt.
Following comments from the
press and fans regarding some of Ince's performances this season, the ex England
Captain looks set to stay for a third season at Molineux.
Ince was influential in
Wolves' promotion season and his leadership skills will be just as important as
Wolves look to clinch promotion back to the Premiership for the second time in
three seasons.
"I definitely thought this was going to be my last year but the fact I've played 30-odd games, and people have told me I've been playing well, does make me think that if the legs feel okay I could go
again It has also given me a buzz the rapport I've had with the fans and from the press."
Said Ince
"I'll go away to Portugal for a month, take stock and discuss a few things with my wife but at the moment, physically and mentally, I think I could do another year."
The former Liverpool and
Manchester United star also hinted that he would love to see Leicester City's
Les Ferdinand in a Wolves shirt and even said that if Ferdinand was to sign for
Wolves then Ince would be persuaded to definitely give it another go.
"I do speak to Les, I think he's wanting to do another year --maybe we could get up him up here!
Wolves were in for him at the start of the season, and I think if we'd got him, with his goals in the Premiership, we would have done better."
Said Ince
"Maybe if we get Les in that might definitely persuade me to stay on!"
