LEEDS UNITED joined Leicester City and
Wolverhampton Wanderers as the third team to be relegated from the English FA
Barclaycard Premiership at the Reebok Stadium today.
Wolves Premiership Campaign
came to an end yesterday, despite Wolves beating Everton 2-1 at Molineux.
An 85th minute Carl Cort
winner was enough to earn Wolves the three points infront of a packed Molineux,
but Manchester City's 1-0 win over Newcastle subjected Wolves and Leicester to
relegation.
Leicester drew 2-2 away at
Charlton. Bent gave Leicester an early lead, before Charlton hit two second half
goals to take the London club into the lead. However a Les Ferdinand free-kick
earned the Foxes' a point.
Finally, Leeds United will
join Wolves and Leicester in the Coca Cola first division next season. Leeds
needed to win at Bolton Wanderers earlier today, but despite leading at the
break, Leeds went down 4-1.
