Wolves Striker Vio Ganea who famously knocked England out of Euro 2000 has admitted that he feared a backlash as a result of dispatching the winning penalty in Romania's 3-2 win over England.

If coming to play in England after ending their hopes of advancing further into Euro 2000 was bad enough, how hard must it have been for Vio Ganea teaming up with Wolves Captain Paul Ince? Ganea's goal ended the International Career of Paul Ince, something which worried the 30 year old Striker when he completed his move to Wolves.

"I thought that maybe the people from England would not be so happy because I scored against them for Romania" Said Ganea who has made a massive impact on the Wolves faithful after scoring three times in just four appearances.

"As for Paul Ince - I think he remembered me and he was not so happy to see me. But it's all right now. I liked to watch Paul when he played for Inter Milan because of the way he played."

Ganea has been a hit with the Wolves fans since he signed from Bursaspor on a free transfer last month. The Romanian has scored 3 goals in just four appearances for Wolves, two of which were scored in the Premiership.

However Wolves Fans hope that Ganea's goals can start to make a bigger impact on the result of the game in which he scores. Each time Vio Ganea has scored for Wolves, the game has been lost.
