 Wolves Chairman Sir Jack Hayward has said that he now feels this is the time to step down as owner of Wolverhampton Wanderers as he sells his beloved club.

 Sir Jack, known to most as one of the nicest men in football has decided it is time to move-on and hand his football club, Wolverhampton Wanderers over to new owners.

 Speaking at an 1877 Dinner at Molineux on Thursday night, Sir Jack (Courtesy of WOW) “At three score years and 20, I think it’s time for me to pass it all on. I’m not selling the club, I just want to hand it over, preferably to a local consortium that would be willing to invest heavily in the club."

 The club, which currently owes Sir Jack Hayward Millions Of Pounds says he will forget all the debt the club owes him.  

  “I will waive all the debts and loans that I have made to Wolves so whoever does take over, will do so with a clean sheet." Sir Jack Said.

  “It is an opportunity for the people of Wolverhampton to invest in the club – and it would be their club, not mine.

  “Mind you, if they asked me to stay on as President, I would be delighted to do that!”

  Sir Jack has promised that 25% of the club will go on sale to fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers and he insists that this will be something the new owners must do.

  He added; “I would insist to any new owner or consortium that 25 percent of the shareholding be available to our wonderful supporters.”
