Darlington

With Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Barclaycard Premiership and Darlington in Division three, the clubs have not met in competitive action since a cup game in 1998.

*Stats are provided as part of the soccer-stats.com and wolvesfc.co.uk agreement.

One's to Watch.

Portuguese International Silas is expected to start for Wolves and will be looking to impress as he tried to claim a place in Saturdays Premiership game away at Bolton.

.

Darlington will be up for this game so it is pointless picking one player out as the "man to watch". A trip to a Premiership Stadium will be something they look forward to as they hope to cause a cup upset.

.

The Verdict

.

Dave Jones is set to make changes to the team which put in that poor performance against Chelsea on Saturday.

Portuguese International Silas is expected to start as is Ex-Arsenal star and 2003 FA Cup Man Of The Match Oleg Luzhny. Nigerian International Isaac Okoroknwo may make his debut, as might Morcon International Hassan Kachloul.

This Carling Cup game comes at a nice time for Wolves as they are able to put the terrible start to the Premiership on hold for one night.

Wolves who have only scored one goal all season will be hoping to bang a few past Darlington to boost confidence levels, however, it`s never that simple.

Darlington will come to Molineux hoping for an upset. The Fans and Staff of Darlington will be more than "up for it" and will be hoping to make a major cup upset.

 Report after the game.

( Apologies for the lack of stats and information. The usual report will be only used for Barclaycard Premiership games)
