Millers 19th goal of the season and 13th goal in 12 games forced a punter to lose £300,000 - However the punter still came away from the bookies with a nice collection of winnings.

A punter has secured a £406,000 win from a £73 stake after correctly predict half-time and full-time scores from 6 games. The punter placed the bet in a William Hill shop in the London area and would have won an extra £300,000 had Kenny Miller not scored in the 44th minute at the Madejsky Stadium on Wednesday night.

He successfully backed Gillingham v Wimbledon; Rochdale v Bournemouth; Crystal Palace v Ipswich; Ajax v Valencia and Inter Milan v Newcastle however Wolves were winning at Half-Time and Full-Time, spoiling his chances of winning over £700,000 - a sum which would have been a World Record Football pay-out.

William Hills Spokesman Graham Sharpe said

"The man is a regular gambler on football matches and was delighted with his £400,000 winnings.

''But the Reading-Wolves game would have given him a world record betting shop payout of £700,000 for football wagers."
