First start for Traore

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo makes his first change of the season to the starting line-up for this afternoon's trip to the Amex stadium Brighton
Adama Traore gets his first start for Wolves this afternoon, replacing Diogo Jota, who has struggled to have the anticipated impact on matches and is also one yellow card from a one match suspension. Traore is the only change to today's team, which sees Wolves trying to bounce back from the home defeat to Watford last Saturday. Striker Glenn Murray starts for Brighton despite suffering concussion during their match at Newcastle last week. Leander Dendoncker makes his first appearance on the Wolves substitutes bench today, replacing Kortney Hause.

Good work down right by Doc gets our first corner. Traore tries to control it on his shoulder but hand ball given. Traore will be playing down left side against Bruno who is 38!!
Wolves dominating at the moment & get 2nd corner. Brighton break from it & get free kick in Wolves half
Wolves should have had a penalty for hand ball, after great work by Adama
Brilliant play by Doc & Costa for another corner, but again comes to nothing. Neves almost puts Doc in on goal with a superb pass
Good defending from Doc. First shot on target of the game from Adama is a comfortable save for Ryan

Afternoon Andy. It is a good start from our team - by far the better team just lacking the final shot. Brighton showing potential for a breakaway goal, but their play generally pretty poor so far. We need to give Traore more chance to run at Bruno, but most of our play is going through Costa & Doc
Fabulous link up by Doc with Raul & Costa - Doc moves into area & puts a left footed shot just wide

A pleasing response from Wolves to last week's defeat & they have been the better team by far, just lacking the final shot. Their passing from defence through midfield has been excellent, and Costa and Doc in particular have combined very well on the right wing. Traore has had a few moments on the left wing making some good attacking runs and linking with Jonny well.
Doc went closest with an excellent solo run into the area after linking well with Costa and Raul, but he shot just wide.
We should have had a penalty - Izquierdo put his arm up then turned his back blocking the ball from Doc with his arm, but nothing given.
Brighton clearly have the potential to get a goal on the break but generally their play has been very poor and Wolves have largely dictated the game.

Joao puts in a good shot but easily taken by Ryan. Wolves still having much of the attacking play but B'ton defending it well. B'ton break well but final ball is very poor

All fans join in a round of applause in 67th minute for the commentator Peter Brackley o died recently and was a Brighton fan
Great chance for Doc after fine cross from Cav but he gets a lucky corner
Nothing really working for Wolves up front at the moment. Seemingly a record attendance at Amex stadium of just over 30,000!!
Some great play by Wolves but still no luck in front of goal. Leo Bonatini coming on to put that right!!!
An obvious thing to say but we have to take more of these chances. Almost every week we miss a bagful.
We've had nine corners but posed very little threat from them. REat footwok from Jota into the area but Ryan takes it comfortably
Four minutes added time to be played. Again Jota runs with the ball but is robbed of it
Ryan keeps a great shot from Bennett out, then a super Neves shot is blocked.

Brighton won because they defended much better in the second half. Overall they were very poor and Wolves did everything they could to score except put the ball in the net. Murray scored an opportunistic goal being in the right place when a deflected shot from Bruno came to him.
Costa and Doc linked up very well on the right wing and Doc had our best chance to score. Costa's decision making in the second half was questionable. We are lacking a striker who causes havoc in their area. Jimenez is always busy and lays off some good balls but I don't think he had a real strike on goal today, and it's crazy that Doc is carrying our main goal threat. Neves was unlucky with a couple of efforts - he is well overdue a goal!! It will be interesting to see if Traore starts the next match - he showed a few interesting flashes but didn't really cause them enough problems before being subbed early in the second half.
There is no doubt about it - we should have won this match. Can't help thinking the early season bubble maybe bursting!!

We still have 15 points after 10 rounds,and that is perfectly allright.
So,keep calm and just circulate?
It is easy to see that for us to take the next step we simply cannot go on playing Costa and Jota who is a combined 0 for goals this part into the season.I really like them both,but there cannot be any room for sentimentality.They just have to start produce assists and the odd goal here and there in a whole different way than what they have done up til now.
It is a big step up from the Championship,and thus far neither Costa or Jota has made it.
They will get more chances to prove they can play in a team that wants success at this level..but if they not take it they need to be replaced next summer window.

I was there today. Record Amex crowd,all to see the Wolves!

Some really good stuff at times, back to much better possession and passing but football is all about goals. We were the better team and deserved a point. I personally didn’t see the penalty shout but Doc ought to have put us 1 up in the first half. We just don’t look like a side that’s going to spank anyone despite the lion share of shots and possession, hopefully that can change.
I do like the Amex, decent new ground.
