Jones - We Can Go For The Championship

Wolves crashed out of the Title Race in dramatic style last season, they fell at the first hurdle in the Play-Offs but Jones believes Wolves can make Automatic Promotion this season.
Dave Jones has played down reports suggesting that Wolves are aiming for the Play-Offs, where in recent seasons, Wolves have not been the strongest of teams.
Wolves meet the Half-Way of this season only 3 points below that of the half-way last season but Wolves do find themselves 12 points behind Leicester and another 5 points behind leaders Portsmouth.
But Jones, in his second full season in charge believes an Automatic place is realistic, also is the championship.
Talking to IC Birmingham, Jones said "I'm sure there will be little twists in the tale.
We're still very much chasing down the top two clubs. Portsmouth and Leicester have been the best two clubs so far and have not hit bad runs yet but there is a long, long way to go.
"The annoying thing at the moment is knowing we would have gone third and the table would have looked a lot healthier.
"The first priority is to get off on another good run now because we will definitely climb if we do that. A couple of wins could fire us up a few more places."
Meanwhile George Ndah and Dean Sturridge are hoping to make comebacks in a behind close doors friendly with Shrewsbury today.
