Total Tranmere gives you the chance to vote for your favourite Tranmere Rovers players from 2000-2009 in a new series of polls celebrating the last ten years of football at Tranmere......

Article Header - Breaking News

Between 2000 and 2009, Tranmere Rovers had some wonderful moments as a football club, reaching the F.A Cup Quarter Finals three times, the League One play-off semi-finals once and, of course, memorably finishing runners up in the Worthington Cup Final in 2000.

To help Tranmere achieve such memorable highs, the club have had some excellent players, many of whom have now gone on to bigger and better things and currently play in the Premier League or the Championship.

Over the coming weeks, Total Tranmere will be holding a poll on the website as we look to determine the Tranmere Rovers team of the decade, starting with the poll for the best goalkeeper of the decade tonight.

The polls will be held each week, starting on a Monday, with the winner announced on a Sunday evening.

Come the end of the vote, we will reveal who you voted as the best players, putting them together in the Team of the Decade.

The first poll will be online tonight, so don't forget to check the site late to cast your vote for Tranmere's best goalkeeper of that wonderful ten year period.

In fairness, I forgot about Taylor, so I'll change that choice. After all the amount players they've had in the last 10 years, doubt anyone remembers them all (Sm7).

I will defend McAteer though to some extent.

I think he was a good right sided player when used that way. Especially during the controversial USA 94 game, when Aldo was prevented from being subbed. When he finally came on, his goal inside of 10 minutes, resulted from a McAteer cross from the right.

That's why I chose him for the right side, because I knew he wouldn't replace Koumas and Kay in the centre.

Hall was good though I will say that.

I bet he wasn't as good as Shuker (pre injury of course)

Most exciting RW we've had since Parkinson IMO (Hall was good but I don't think he was as 'exciting' as Shuker or Parky)
