Young duo to be offered extended stays at Prenton Park as Parry looks to future............

Tranmere Rovers boss Les Parry will look to offer young duo Aaron Cresswell and Dale Jennings contract extensions as the Rovers manager looks to extend the stay of the talented pair.

Cresswell, 20 and Jennings, 18, are both products of Tranmere's successful youth system and have both been key figures for Tranmere so far this season.

Left-back Cresswell's contract runs out at the end of the season, a year in which he has netted four goals and made the left back slot his own after playing only a bit part for the club since making his debut in November 2008.

Jennings meanwhile burst into the Tranmere Rovers first team in September and has not looked back since, signing a two-year deal in October shortly after netting a stunning winner at Bristol Rovers.

With the striker rated as hot property, the club are looking to extend his stay at Prenton Park, not only to keep him playing for Tranmere, but also to increase his transfer value.

Jennings Dale

If Cresswell and Jennings are offered new deals, they would be the second and third players to be offer extended stays on the Wirral after it is believed Ian Thomas-Moore was offered a new contract last week.

Meanwhile, Tranmere boss Les Parry has admitted Marlon Broomes has handed in a tansfer request at the club, something he puts down to the player wanting to secure a longer contract elsewhere with his current deal due to expire in June.

Tranmere also currently have a midfielder on trial from Ireland as Les Parry looks to bolster his midfield options.  The Rovers boss is also keeping tabs on the situtation of a couple of central players who were released by their clubs this month.

lets hope they sign the deals as if not any money we will get for the pair will be reduced.

Cresswell has been offered slightly more than his current deal but a very poor amount for the type of player he is and potentially is.

Championship clubs are interested and I'd be amazed it he was still here next season.

Good to hear we're going to offer Jenno another! Give him a decent wage which he deserves and long contract and let him go when the time/fee is right.

I read on Sky Sports they were looking to discuss things with them. Didn't know the deals were definitely being done, but it's good news for sure, if the deals are worthwhile.
