We've finally made the PFA Team

After 4 years of success and not having a single player considered, City finally have a representative in the PFA Team. It's somewhat ironic that after 3 years of a lack of recogntion, we finally get a player on the team with easily our worst season under Keith Alexander.

Gareth McAuley is destined to leave the Imps in the summer after critisising the lack of spending at Sincil Bank and looks set to join Leicester. However, he has won a trophy for the first time in his Lincoln career as he is the first entry into the PFA Team of the Year for the Imps since 1997/8, which could be an omen as that's the last time the Imps were promoted. The last winner was Dean Walling and he had a good scoring record for a defender and Gareth McAuley has an eye for goal as well and sent the Imps to the playoff final with the 2 goals in the 2-1 aggregate win over Macclesfield in the semi-finals. He was unable to prevent the Imps losing the final though in which they dominated.
