Young Imps' goalkeeper, Scott Loach has agreed personal terms with Championship side Watford and will move in the summer. After being on the wanted list of 4 or 5 Premiership clubs, Loach has agreed to join a team that could very well be in the Premiership themselves next season.

If Watford are promoted, Loach will become the second player to join a Premiership side from the Imps after Jack Hobbs joined Liverpool earlier on this season. The 17 year old goalkeeper has spent the last week at Vicarage Road and has widely impressed all at Watford, especially up and coming manager, Ady Boothroyd.

Loach becomes the 2nd Imp in 2 years to agree a move to Hertfordshire after Paul Mayo joined the Hornets in 2003/4, however, Loach will definatly want to me more of a success than the other former City youth team lad. Keith Alexander was obviously delighted for the lad and believed the goalkeeper could become a huge star in the future.

"Scott is 17 years old and has all the attributes required to become a top-notch goalkeeper. His sale to Watford is another fillip for the youth team and behalf of everyone at the club, I wish him well in the future."

Although the two clubs have declared the fee as undisclosed, it is believed that Watford will be coming up to Sincil Bank for a friendly during the pre-season. It would be a repeat of the match that ended 2-2 in the pre season before last season and that game ended 2-2.
