Referee Penn will surely do a better job

Experienced lower league referee, Andy Penn will take charge of the Imps' derby day on Saturday against Notts County. Penn will be the first to referee a game after Jarnail Singh's comical version of the game last Saturday and the fact that Keith hasn't been banned proves how useless Singh is.

The FA has reviewed all of Singh's evidence from last Saturday's draw at Macclesfield and just like everyone else in football (apart from Singh), the men at Soho decided that the incident wasn't as extreme as the Hounslow official made out and they produced the following statement earlier today.

"The Football Association has reviewed the matter and will not be taking any formal disiplinary action."

Infact, the FA are believed to be investigating Mr Singh's refereeing standard as the Hounslow official has totalled over 100 complaints from managers in just over 4 years of refereeing and it is almost guaranteed that Penn will produce a better performance than Singh's laughable effort last Saturday.

Penn was actually one of the better officials to referee an Imps' game this season as he was in charge of the home game against Wrexham, a match that City won 2-0. His last game in charge of Notts County saw the Magpies lose 3-2 at Grimsby Town last season.
