Imps midfielder, Steve Robinson has started that he thinks his Lincoln career is already over after just 70 minutes. Injury stopped the midfielder from playing for the first 2 months but he made an impressive debut against Stockport but he hasn't even made the bench since.

Robinson was a pre-season signing from Swindon Town and Keith Alexander was delighted to sign the experienced midfielder, however, the Imps hampered his season, however, he went straight into the first team when he recovered from his injury, only to be dropped again for no apparant reason.

"When you are fit and not getting on the bench you know it's not looking good," said the 31-year-old, who is out of contract next summer. I feel my career at Lincoln is dead and buried - a non-starter. But the most frustrating thing is that I don't know why. I have not fallen out with the manager, Keith Alexander and I am not unfit, yet don't seem to be involved and no explanations are given," a puzzled Robinson said to the Echo.

"Maybe I don't fit in with the style of play. But when I look back to the game against Stockport we played well and I thought I did OK. I enjoyed it. I got the ball down, found space and kept things simple but after that I wasn't involved. Since then we haven't won at home and even though we have been struggling I haven't had a look in. All I want to do is play football and that's why I went to Worksop because I was frustrated with my lack of chances at Lincoln City."

City haven't particully struggled in midfield with players such as Dean Keates and Scott Kerr doing well, however, the lack of Robinson on the bench does make it puzzling considering Keith only usually makes 1 substitution a game. The 31 year old admits that he is starting to consider his future after agreeing a 2nd month on loan at Worksop but his never say never attitude will please many Lincoln fans.

"I'm no Glenn Hoddle and I'm not as young as I used to be, but I will give everything if Lincoln want me to play," said Robinson, who has scored once for Worksop. If Keith wants to use me I will fill in anywhere and give 100 per cent - and he knows that. I think I offer the side experience and use a bit of nous when I am on the ball. But I need to be given a chance to play and that hasn't happened."

Only time will tell if Robinson will get a decent chance in the team but it seems like he's turning into another Cairan Toner (minus the racist arguments part).
