City face their hardest task of the season on Saturday as they face the Chelsea of the division, Wycombe Wanderers. Wanderers are the only side other than Chelsea to be undefeated in the League and they have won their last 5 games at Sincil Bank. Cue the inevitable 3-0 defeat.

For the 2nd weekend in a row, City will face a side currently residing in the top 4 places in League 2 and the Imps' couldn't have a more difficult task. Not only have City not beaten Wycombe in a long, including a double last season, John Gorman's side are yet to be defeated in the league and go into the game high on confidence after progressing through to the LDV Vans 2nd Round by beating Dagenham.

Gary Birch is likely to miss out after he limped out of Tuesday's defeat to Tranmere so the door could open up for Robinson, who despite not scoring, made life very difficult for the Tranmere defence and with a bit more luck, would have scored. Dean Keates and Scott Kerr are both still doubts but both should feature. Other than that, it'll more than likely be a case of "as you were"

To say Wycombe have had an excellent start to the season, would be an understatement and they are currently, the only team other than Chelsea to be still undefeated in League football. The pre-season favourites for the title have been living up to expection but are only bettered by a resourceful Grimsby side.

They started the season with a 1-1 draw against promoted Carlisle before securing a victory at Rochdale. A local(ish) derby saw them take a point from Oxford after a 2-2 draw before thumping Bury 4-0 at home (although Bury fans claim they were Wycombe's equals in every way). Progression in the Carling Cup was secured with a 3-1 win over Swindon before 4 draws in a row proved very frustrating. Home draws against Cheltenham and Northampton were sandwiched by draws at Shrewsbury and Stockport. A 1-0 win over Barnet followed before the Carling Cup continued.

Wycombe found themselves 3-1 up against Premiership side, Aston Villa at half time, before the men from Villa Park rallied and ended up winning 8-3.
