Draw details for the Carling Cup

For the second year in a row, CIty have made it to the second round of the cup and here are the possibilities of opponents. City are one of the unseeded sides, meaning a guaranteed game against either a Championship or Premiership side with some mouth watering possibilities.

The seeded system makes it a bit ackward, but it basically works like this. All the unseeded teams (the Leagues One and Two sides) will be draw out first and each of those teams will then be drawn to play either home or away in their resulting fixture. Then, in the live draw made at 12:10pm, the opponents of the Imps will be made known to all.

Here is a list of all the possibly teams that the Imps could face. The ones highlighted are the ones I would prefer to have. Obviously I'd be delighted with an Premiership team, either home or away but their is the stronger possilbility of making it through to the 3rd Round, if the Imps draw a side from the Championship, arguably the easiest draw would be Millwall at home after their miserable start to the season.
