Hobbs signs according to the Observer

Liverpool will apparantly complete the signing of Jack Hobbs, on the youngster's 17th birthday of August 18th according to a national newspaper. The Observer has claimed that the deal is done but the move will go ahead on the above date and get City a good sum of money.

The Observer claims that Hobbs has all but officially signed for the European Champions and is now on a "work experience" deal at Sincil Bank which will see him remain as an Imp until his 17th birthday on August 18th.

The deal, believed to be for an initial £100,000 will also include sell on and appearance clauses as well as a guarantee of a friendly between the two sides at Sincil Bank next summer meaning that the home of City could seen be graced with international stars such as Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Djibril Ciise and Jerzy Dudek.
