Keith signs new contract

Imps manager Keith Alexander has signed a new, 3 year contract to keep him at the club until 2008. After a season of Keith being linked with moves away to other clubs, this will come as a huge relief to Imps fans who can now look forward to Keith hopefully leading them into League 1 on Saturday.

The news came at around 2:45pm and will be very welcome news to Imps fans after a whole season of Keith Alexander being linked with jobs at Peterborough and Notts County amoungst others.

This means that if he lasts the 3 years of his contract, he will have been at Sincil Bank for 7 years after initially joining as Alan Buckley's assistant manager. To say Keith turned Lincoln's fortunes around would be an understatement and I think few would disagree that if Keith's hadn't been appointed manager after Buckley left, the Imps would be in the conference and not on the brink of League 1.
