Premiership side Blackburn Rovers, are set to make a bid for Imps defender, Ben Futcher to bolster their incredibly leaky defence which has seen 22 goals go in the net in only 10 Premiership games.

Blackburn boss has already confirmed he is interested in Futcher and is likely to make a bid within the next 72 hours.

Hughes "Ive been down to Sincil Bank a couple of times already this season and he impressed me straight away"

Futcher has been on the transfer list at his own request since May and has since been linked with moves to Bolton, Aston Villa, Peterborough, Crewe, Cardiff and Hull but no official bids have come in yet as he was priced out of the market at a ridiculous £350,000. Hull have come closest to making a bid but Peter Taylor decided to go with Leon Cort instead because the former Southend defender was on a free transfer.
