A case of a load of old Cobblers

City look to extend their unbeaten run to 7 games with the visit of the Cobblers, Northampton Town who are looking to improve of a record of only 2 wins in 21 visits to Sincil Bank.
The draw on Saturday gave City another number to add onto the unbeaten run. That unbeaten run includes wins over York (3-0), Southend (2-0) and Kidderminster (2-1), also draws against Cambridge, Orient (both 0-0) and ROchdale (1-1). If the Imps win, they can move into the playoff places if results go their way and it will instill confidence which is needed for Saturday's clash against champions-elect Swansea.
Northampton have the same amount of points as the Imps and are 2 places below the Imps which only Rochdale in between, however, are leaking goals left, right and centre recently, they have conceeded 15 goals in their last 6 games and two of those games were clean sheets for the Cobblers. They have won 4 of their opening games but have lost 5.
Their main threat is striker, ex-Imp, Lawrie Dudfield who moved there on a free transfer from Hull. Another threat is possibly their record signing, Josh Low, both have scored a few goals so far.
Northampton sacked their manager on Monday afternoon and it is unlikely a enw full time replacement will be installed before Tuesday night. Ex-Imp manager John Beck has recently spoke of his desire to return to management and maybe he will have his oppurtunity with the posts at Northampton and Orient now available.
Prediction
Right, as you may have realised, I'm crap at predicting but that it will be a score draw. 2-2 with Richardson and Butcher scoring for City.
