It's not been a good spring for most ex-Imps and four more former City players have found out their future is away from their clubs. The names include recent loanee Tom Kilbey, Lee Thorpe, Gary King and Tyrone Thompson.
Lee Thorpe, Lincoln's leading goalscorer for five seasons before departing in 2002 for Leyton Orient, has been a journeyman since and had landed at Fleetwood earlier this season, however, he is one of nine to be told that his future isn't at the "Cod Army" following their dismal showing in the playoffs.
Tyrone Thompson had a loan spell at Lincoln in 2002/3 and has now been released by Mansfield, whereas former youth striker Gary King has been let go by Simon Weaver's Harrogate.
Tom Kilbey was told several weeks ago that he wasn't going to get a contract at Portsmouth so that didn't come as a surprise, but one surprise has been that Lennel John-Lewis HAS been given a new contract by Bury, as has fellow former Imp Ben Futcher.
