Whilst most of Lincoln is focusing and over-reacting to a joke made by a half rate TV show, there will be around 3,000 Imps who are more interested in finding out who will become the latest manager for the Imps, an announcement which is due either today or tomorrow.
It was said last week that the Imps hope to have appointed a new manager by either late today or early on Thursday morning, so many Imps fans will be keeping their eye on who is appointed. Steve Tilson remains the favourite to get the post, whereas Dave Penney is arguably the second favourites. In an almost ironic twist of fate, both managers would inherit a team that contains players that have played for them at previous clubs, all of whom have supported their ex-manager.
With all the interviews now over, the board are believed to be debating whom to offer the job to, although it seems almost certain that the job will be offered to the aforementioned Tilson or Penney.
