Burch wins Player of the Season

In what will more than likely turn out to be his final appearance in a Lincoln shirt, Rob Burch picked up the Player of the Season and Away Player of the Season awards before the game against Macclesfield.

Burch is widely regarded as Peter Jackson's best signing (although there's not a lot of competition in that category) and he has kept City in many games over the last two years. Despite failing to keep a clean sheet from December 5th to April 17th, Burch did well in that period and is a vastly better goalkeeper to the one that joined this football club two years ago.

He is the first goalkeeper of the 21st Century to pick up Player of the Season, not bad considering it will more than likely turn out to be his final game in an Imps shirt.

Cian Hughton won Young Player of the Season.

Doesn't it seem almost ironic that everyone blames Peter Jackson for the current poor performances, yet the two players that won the three awards were brought to the club by him?
