Glasgow Rangers man offered City deal

Steven Lennon looks set to make his loan move to Sincil Bank permanent after the club offered him a contract and he has said for weeks that he wants to stay at City. The Scot has been on loan at Sincil Bank since January. Fellow Scot and former Rangers man, Brian Gilmour, has also been offered a contract for next year.

Lennon joined the Imps from Rangers in January and scored his first ever professional goal against Rotherham on February 9th, one of his three goals for City so far and he has done enough to convince the management to offer him a two year contract.

He is increasingly likely to accept it as he has been saying for some time that he would love to stay and with Rangers unlikely to offer him a deal, he will almost certainly come on a free transfer.

Brian Gilmour has also been offered a new contract. City's other Scot has had a mixed time at City recently and despite fans not rating his performances over the last few months, Sutton has seen enough to include him in the City squad next year.

Kerr and Green, the club's two longest serving players, have also been offered new deals.

Hate to split hairs Nathan but Brian Gilmour used to play for Rangers and has never in fact played for Celtic!
