The Players of 2009/10 : Aaron Brown

Aaron Brown was a player who had come to the Imps last season as one of Jackson's "Magnificent Seven" and despite dodgy beginnings, Brown showed his worth in the midfield, but Chris Sutton certainly didn't agree and Brown was released, he joined Wrexham for their end of season run.

Brown was one of the numerous players who were first team regulars under Peter Jackson that suffered a culture shock under Chris Sutton.

There were few players who had performed better than Brown in the second half of last season and to be fair, he was one of Jackson's better signings. Sutton just didn't rate him at all though and despite scoring a good goal at Telford, he was officially deemed surplus to requirements when his contract was terminated in January.

I personally think that Brown was a decent player and he could have still been a decent player for Sutton. Sutton replaced him on the left of midfield with Matt Saunders.

Brown had a succesful trial at Wrexham soon afterwards and joined them on transfer deadline day. He has been offered a contract for next season as well.

I thought Brown was an ok player for us & did a good job... think Sutton should have kept him until the end of the season to be fair...
