Lincoln City have three massive fixtures that could go a long way to shaping their season over the next three weeks. The Imps play teams either around or below them in the table, including relegation threatened duo, Northampton and Torquay.

The Imps' trio of games starts at Moss Rose on Saturday. The Imps have won on their last two visits to Macclesfield, winning 2-1 on both occasions and a draw in a Playoff Semi-Final in 2005 granted the Imps a ill-fated trip to Cardiff just days later.

Macclesfield have gotten off to a half-decent start by their standards and sit 15th in the table and in typical Keith fashion, are proving tricky to beat on the road with only two teams able to win a home game against Macclesfield so far. Their home record is much like City's, inconsistent with two wins, a draw and two defeats from their five matches at Moss Rose so far.

A week later and the Imps make their first trip to Northampton Town's Sixfields since November 2005. Our last visit saw a 1-1 draw just a week after a humiliating 4-1 defeat at Cheltenham Town. That promoted a run that only saw one defeat until mid-March, a similar run would be very welcome.

Much like City and Macclesfield, inconsistency at home has been Northampton's problem, winning two, drawing two and losing two. They managed a draw against Bradford City at the weekend, coming from 2-0 down to secure a point.

Imps fans would love a repeat of their last visit to Torquay United. One down with 92 minutes gone, all appeared lost before Paul Morgan and Martin Gritton both scored late, late into injury time to secure a victory that arguably went a long way to pushing us onto a Playoff campaign.

Torquay got relegated later that season and after two strong seasons in the Blue Square Premier, they won promotion with a 2-0 win over Cambridge United at late season's Playoff Final. A 2-0 win over Chesterfield on the opening day provided hope for a decent season, but only one win since then has seen them slip down the table and they now sit in the relegation zone with Darlington.

All three games are massive for City and all three appear winnable. Victories in all three could push City into a Playoff race, and with October being a decent month for the Imps in recent history (other than 07/08), it looks quite possible that the Imps could yet have a decent season afterall, but we need at the minimum to avoid defeat in any of these games.
