Lincoln City have signed Sam Clucas following a successful trial at the club. The youngster impressed in his appearances in the red and white and has agreed to join the club on a permanent basis.
Clucas joined City on trial in time for the game at Lincoln United last Friday, and also played in last night's game against Scunthorpe. He impressed Peter Jackson enough to offer him a contract and he has now joined City.
He joins a list of players who have been on trial at the club since Jackson's arrival. That list also contains Aaron Brown, Sam Mullarkey, Adrian Patulea and Paul Connor, amongst others.
OS says he was with us as a 10 year old. Joined the Leicester youth set up, but was not offered terms at 16, so chose to return to Lincoln to study at Lincoln College. We have been monitoring him while he was there and offered him this trial.
played at lincoln college under john priestly and andy mcgill who coach some of the youth sides at lincoln.... i think andy is manager of one.
Meant to be a very good young player.... a clever attacking midfielder from what ive heard.
