There could be as many as four teams moving in or out of League Two on Monday as Burton need just three more points to guarantee promotion, whereas Luton and Cheltenham will definitely go down a division with defeats, an Hereford must rely on other results if they lose. However, there is good news for Chesterfield as they moved into the final League Two Playoff place. Burton Albion and Luton Town could be switching divisions in less than 48 hours. Burton Albion will win promotion to the Football League with a win at Kidderminster, whereas Luton will go down if they lose at in-form Chesterfield and Grimsby Town win at Notts County.
Luton's draw at Sincil Bank on Saturday has effectively relegated them and they now realistically have to win every single match available to them and as mentioned, they will be relegated if they lose to a Chesterfield side that moved into the Playoff places on Saturday afternoon, that despite not winning. It's a stark contrast to when Chesterfield fans were calling for their manager to be sacked earlier in the season.
They join Exeter, Rochdale and Gillingham in the Playoff places, with only Shrewsbury, Bradford and Dagenham likely to challenge them. City could still conceivably join the party, but will now have to win virtually every single game for the remainder of the season if they hope to win promotion with the teams in automatic promotion places, Bury, Wycombe and Brentford.
Going back in the Blue Square Premier, the race for the final Playoff place is heading up, with just one point separating Kidderminster in fourth and Stevenage is sixth, Histon in between. No other side looks like challenging those three for the final two Playoff places, with the two that do join the party being accompanied by Cambridge and Torquay.
A gap is developing between the bottom four in League One and the pack they are chasing. Cheltenham will be relegated on Monday if they lose on Monday, and Hereford could also go down if they lose and Carlisle and Crewe both get at least a point.
