Torpey is the first to feel Jackson's axe

Steve Torpey appears to have played his final game for Lincoln after just 3 months at the club. The striker has joined Farsley Celtic on loan with a view to a permanent move. The 36 year old didn't score in his time at Sincil Bank and replaced Paul Mayo as many people's scapegoat when the Imps weren't winning, even if he was only on the pitch for 2/3 minutes during the game.

Torpey joined following his release from Scunthorpe and played in the first 11 in his first few games. However, some City fans weren't pleased with his efforts and he was booed off the pitch when he was substituted in the Carling Cup game at Doncaster Rovers. He made considerably more starts than substitute appearances in his time with the Imps.

Torpey will go straight into Farsley's squad for their game against Grays.
